Higgsfield Review (2026): Credit Math, Plans & Billing Complaints
Our scorecard
3.4/5Scored against our editorial rubric. How we score →
Starter is $15 a month on either toggle (200 credits). Plus is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually (1,000 credits). Ultra is $129 a month, or $99 a month billed annually (3,000 credits). Shown in US dollars on Higgsfield's pricing page on October 17, 2026, before VAT and local taxes; confirm the figure at your own checkout. Refunds are limited to 7 days after an initial purchase with no credits used, so decide before you generate anything.

Pros
- One subscription reaches Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Google Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0, Minimax Hailuo 2.3 and Grok Video, plus Nano Banana Pro, Seedream and GPT Image for stills
- Higgsfield's pricing page publishes a credit cost for each model, resolution and clip length, so the cost of a clip can be worked out before paying
- Plus and Ultra are $120 and $360 a year cheaper on annual billing ($39 and $99 a month against $49 and $129)
- Higgsfield's Terms of Use say the company does not claim ownership of outputs or restrict their commercial use, and output rights survive cancellation
- Positive October 2026 Trustpilot reports name ease of use, output quality against other platforms and the API
Cons
- Refunds apply only within 7 days of an initial purchase and only if no credits have been used; renewals are excluded and a service fee of up to 6 percent may apply (Terms section 9.3)
- 'Unlimited' generations run on a separate queue whose speed the Terms do not guarantee, and October 2026 reports describe waits from 30 minutes to more than five hours
- Starter is the same $15 a month on both toggles, so annual Starter is a year paid upfront for no discount
- The Free tier carries 0 monthly credits and no commercial-use right
- Inputs and outputs may be used to train Higgsfield's models unless you are on an Enterprise Agreement (Terms section 4.4)
- Dated one-star reports from October 13 to 16, 2026 describe unexpected repeat charges, a charge during a cancellation attempt and refused refunds

Pricing at a glance
- Starter: $15 a month on monthly or annual billing, 200 credits a month
- Higgsfield's cheapest paid plan, shown on October 17, 2026. The annual toggle shows the same $15 a month and the card says there is no difference compared to monthly, so annual Starter is $180 paid for the year with no saving. 200 credits works out at $0.075 a credit. Starter reaches selected models only (on Seedance, the 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini versions), allows up to 2 parallel videos, and Higgsfield's compare table marks Higgsfield Speak and start-and-end frame control as not included.
- Plus: $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually, 1,000 credits a month
- Annual Plus is $468 for the year against $588 for twelve monthly payments, a $120 saving that Higgsfield states on the card. A credit costs $0.049 on monthly billing and $0.039 on annual. Plus opens every model and feature in Higgsfield's compare table and adds 7-day unlimited generation on named models.
- Ultra: $129 a month, or $99 a month billed annually, 3,000 credits a month
- Annual Ultra is $1,188 for the year against $1,548 monthly, a $360 saving. A credit costs $0.043 monthly and $0.033 annually, the lowest rate among the individual plans. Ultra is also sold in 6,000 and 9,000 credit sizes; the prices quoted here are for the 3,000 credit size.
- Team and business plans: from $65 per seat a month
- Higgsfield lists business plans for 2 to 15 seats, from 1,000 credits per seat a month and up to 37,500 pooled credits, with up to 30 percent off on annual billing. Business plans add a shared credit pool, admin spend control, a priority queue and custom SSO, per the pricing page.
- No monthly credits on the Free tier, listed as limited use
- Higgsfield's compare table carries a Free column with 0 monthly credits, 1 concurrent job and commercial use marked not included. It is a way to look around the product, not a plan for producing anything you can publish.
- Price basis and what to check
- Every figure was read from higgsfield.ai/pricing on October 17, 2026, on both the monthly and annual toggles, where prices were shown in US dollars. The page has no region or currency selector, and the read was made from outside the United States. Higgsfield states that prices exclude VAT and local taxes, calculated at checkout, and two Trustpilot reviewers in October 2026 quote euro amounts, '70€ per month' (October 15) and '128 EUR' (October 14), so the figure at your checkout can differ. Promotional prices convert to the standard price under Terms section 10.7.
Plans change often, so confirm current pricing.
Higgsfield is an AI video and image generation platform at higgsfield.ai, run by Higgsfield, Inc. It sells its own tools alongside third-party models such as Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and Google Veo 3.1, and every generation is paid for in credits. This review answers the two questions a buyer has, what a clip costs and what happens when you want your money back, from Higgsfield's own pages and dated user reports.
What is Higgsfield AI?
Higgsfield AI is a subscription platform that bundles many video and image models behind one credit balance. On October 17, 2026, its pricing page listed video models from Kling, Seedance, Google Veo, Wan, Minimax Hailuo and Grok, image models including Nano Banana Pro, Seedream, GPT Image and Flux Kontext, and Higgsfield's own Soul image model, DoP motion presets and Speak lip-sync tool. The homepage menu also lists Cinema Studio, Ads Studio and an AI Influencer tool, the pricing page names Genjutsu, Supercomputer and an MCP connection, and a separate API platform runs at open.higgsfield.ai. In practice it is a reseller's bill for other companies' models plus a layer of Higgsfield tools, so a buyer who uses one model is often better off buying it direct.
How much does Higgsfield cost?
Higgsfield costs $15 a month for Starter, $49 a month for Plus and $129 a month for Ultra on monthly billing, shown in US dollars on October 17, 2026. On annual billing, Plus drops to $39 a month and Ultra to $99, while Starter stays at $15. Business plans start at $65 per seat a month. All prices exclude VAT and local taxes.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Paid per year on annual | Credits a month | Price per credit, monthly / annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | 0 | not applicable |
| Starter | $15 | $15 | $180 | 200 | $0.075 / $0.075 |
| Plus | $49 | $39 | $468 | 1,000 | $0.049 / $0.039 |
| Ultra (3,000 size) | $129 | $99 | $1,188 | 3,000 | $0.043 / $0.033 |
| Team / business | from $65 per seat | up to 30% off | varies | from 1,000 per seat | not published per credit |
Why does the Higgsfield price differ by country?
The Higgsfield price at checkout can differ from the table because tax is added there and some regions are billed in euros. A one-star Trustpilot reviewer (October 15, 2026) quotes "the plan that costs 70€ per month", and another (October 14, 2026) was charged 128 EUR. We read the dollar figures from outside the United States on a page with no region or currency selector, so treat the table as the US dollar list price and check your own figure on the checkout screen.
Is Higgsfield cheaper on annual or monthly billing?
Higgsfield Plus and Ultra are cheaper on annual billing, by $120 and $360 a year, which Higgsfield prints on the plan cards. Starter is not: the annual card shows the same $15 and says there is no difference compared to monthly, so annual Starter is $180 upfront for nothing extra. The annual Plus and Ultra cards also add 7 days of unlimited Kling 3.0, and annual Plus allows unlimited paid parallel generations against up to 6 videos at a time on monthly Plus.
The hidden cost of annual billing is the refund rule: 7 days from the initial purchase with no credits used. An annual Ultra charge of $1,188 becomes non-refundable the moment you generate anything.
How many credits does one Higgsfield video cost?
One Higgsfield video costs between about 7 and 110 credits for a five-second clip, depending on the model and resolution. The table uses Higgsfield's published rates and the Plus annual credit price of $0.039; the counts are division, not output we generated. "Not on Starter" follows the plan comparison table on the same page, read on October 17, 2026, which lists those models as not included on Starter; Starter's own card says it covers "Seedance 2.0 Fast & 2.0 Mini" and "selected models only".
| Model and setting (Higgsfield's published rate) | Credits per clip | Clips on Starter (200) | Clips on Plus (1,000) | Clips on Ultra (3,000) | Cost per clip on Plus annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kling 3.0, 1080p, 5 s | ~8 | not on Starter | 125 | 375 | $0.31 |
| Kling 3.0, 720p, 8 s | ~14 | 14 | 71 | 214 | $0.55 |
| Minimax Hailuo 2.3, 1080p, 6 s | ~10 | 20 | 100 | 300 | $0.39 |
| Wan 3.0, 1080p, 5 s | 17.5 | 11 | 57 | 171 | $0.68 |
| Google Veo 3.1 Fast, 1080p, 4 s | ~16 | not on Starter | 62 | 187 | $0.62 |
| Google Veo 3.1, 1080p, 4 s | ~40 | not on Starter | 25 | 75 | $1.56 |
| Seedance 2.0, 1080p, 5 s | ~60 | not on Starter | 16 | 50 | $2.34 |
| Seedance 2.0, 4K, 5 s | ~110 | not on Starter | 9 | 27 | $4.29 |
| Higgsfield Speak 2.0, 720p, 5 s | ~14 | not included | 71 | 214 | $0.55 |
| Nano Banana Pro, one image | 2 | 100 | 500 | 1,500 | $0.08 |
Starter reaches selected models only (on Seedance, the 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini versions), so check a model is open on Starter before counting on that column. Every re-roll costs the same again.
Which Higgsfield model fits which job?
The Higgsfield model to pick follows from the job and the budget in the table. For a weekly run of social clips, Kling 3.0 at 1080p is about 8 credits, so Plus covers roughly 125 a month with room for re-rolls. For a product ad, Google Veo 3.1 at about 40 credits per four seconds, or Veo 3.1 Fast at about 16, keeps a ten-shot spot inside Plus if each shot lands in two or three attempts. For one cinematic hero shot, Seedance 2.0 costs about 60 credits at 1080p and 110 at 4K, which belongs on Ultra. For a talking-head clip, Higgsfield Speak 2.0 runs about 14 credits per five seconds and is not included on Starter. Whether a model's look suits your brand is something to judge from one low-cost first clip.
What does the Higgsfield unlimited plan cover?
Higgsfield's unlimited generation covers named models for a set number of days, not the whole platform. On October 17, 2026, Plus and Ultra listed 7-day unlimited Nano Banana 2, with Kling 3.0 added on the annual cards and Nano Banana Pro on Ultra; Starter listed none. Unlimited works only on higgsfield.ai, not through MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer.
Higgsfield's Terms of Use section 10.6 puts unlimited models on a dedicated queue separate from the priority queue for credit generations, under fair-use limits, with speed and parallel capacity not guaranteed. The pricing FAQ suggests switching to Credit Mode "to bypass the standard queue and return to maximum speed", which means paying credits to get speed back.
Do Higgsfield credits expire?
Higgsfield credits expire. Subscription credits do not roll over and lapse at the end of each credit cycle; on annual plans they refresh every 30 days. Add-on credit packs last 90 days and are spent after subscription credits (Terms section 9.6). Unused credits expire when the account is cancelled (section 9.4).
Is there a free Higgsfield plan?
Higgsfield has a Free tier, but it carries 0 monthly credits. The pricing page's compare table, read October 17, 2026, lists Free as limited use with 1 concurrent job and commercial use not included. It lets you explore the interface, not make anything you can publish.
Does Higgsfield add a watermark on the free plan?
Neither Higgsfield's pricing page nor its Terms says a visible watermark is added on the Free tier or any paid plan. Terms section 6.4 says Higgsfield may embed machine-readable watermarks or content-provenance signals (such as C2PA Content Credentials) in outputs, possibly imperceptible, and section 5.5 forbids removing them.
Is Higgsfield AI legit?
Higgsfield is a legitimate company, Higgsfield, Inc., with published terms and a 4.0 TrustScore across 5,053 reviews on Trustpilot as of October 17, 2026. Trustpilot weights that score toward recent reviews, so it is not a plain average, and it hides the pattern in the newest one-star reports, which concentrate on charges, refunds and cancellation. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews, so the reports below are reviewers' allegations, quoted as written.
What do Higgsfield users report about charges, cancellations and refunds?
Higgsfield users report charges they did not expect and refunds refused under the terms. These one-star reports date from September 13 to October 16, 2026, each linked to the Trustpilot one-star view where it appeared:
- October 16, 2026: "A month later, I discovered that another $58.80 had been charged to my card."
- October 15, 2026: "they charged me twice after a month 30$ gone".
- October 14, 2026: "I was charged 128 EUR when I wanted to cancel."
- October 13, 2026: "Customers should not have to pay for a renewal they tried to prevent because the platform was unavailable."
- October 13, 2026, a second reviewer: "its like hell trying to cancel your subscription".
- October 16, 2026: "I am being refused a refund because I used 10 credits."
- October 14, 2026: "Support flatly denied my request, hiding behind Section 9.3 of their Terms of Use".
- October 15, 2026: "You will not get a refund after subscribing to their plans".
- September 13, 2026, after buying through a creator's program: "When I am approached the creator for a refund, I was directed to Higgsfield".
Most of the refusals are the policy working as written, since renewals and any purchase with a credit spent fall outside it. The repeat-charge reports are the ones the terms do not explain, and the reason to check your card statement after the first month.
What is Higgsfield's refund policy?
Higgsfield's refund policy allows a request within 7 days of an initial purchase, provided no credits have been used (Terms section 9.3, last updated July 26, 2026). Renewals are excluded, a service fee of up to 6 percent may apply, credit packs follow the same 7-day, no-credits rule, and an upgrade may be refunded at Higgsfield's discretion for the upgrade difference only.
Consumers in the EEA or UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal under section 17.2, by email to support@higgsfield.ai, but the same section says it is lost for digital content such as credits once supply begins, and credits used must be paid for. So the EU and UK route also closes once you generate.
To cancel, use the Payment Setting page of your account or email support@higgsfield.ai from the account's own address (section 10.3). The plan runs to the end of the paid term with no prorated refund (section 10.4). Higgsfield commits to 30 days' notice of a price increase and, for annual plans, a renewal reminder (section 10.1).
How fast is Higgsfield support?
Higgsfield publishes no support response time, and the dated reports above describe what support decided, not how fast it answered. The hackceleration review (undated; newest embedded review June 6, 2026) scores support among Higgsfield's weakest criteria. We did not measure response times.
What can Higgsfield generate?
Higgsfield generates video, images, lip-synced talking clips and ad creative, all priced on one credit table. Video comes from Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Google Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0, Minimax Hailuo 2.3, Grok Video and Higgsfield's DoP camera presets; lip-sync from Higgsfield Speak 2.0, Kling Lipsync and others. Video quality is the underlying model's quality, so for Kling or Veo output see our Kling AI review and Google Veo review.
Does Higgsfield have an API or MCP access, and what does it cost?
Higgsfield runs its API as a separate platform at open.higgsfield.ai, which lists its own per-second prices by model, so the subscription credit table above is not the API price list. The subscription pricing page adds that unlimited models and free generations are not available through MCP or CLI. A Trustpilot reviewer on October 9, 2026 writes "Nice work with the API feature". Confirm API billing with Higgsfield before building on it.
Does Higgsfield Soul ID keep a character consistent?
Higgsfield's homepage lists a "Soul ID Character" feature, and its pricing table lists Soul images at 0.25 credits and Soul 2.0 at 0.12 credits. We read no vendor page documenting how Soul ID works or what each tier includes, so we make no claim about its consistency. Terms section 4.2 requires the consent of every person whose name, likeness or voice appears in your uploads.
What is Higgsfield Cinema Studio?
Higgsfield's homepage lists Cinema Studio 4.0 with the line "Create cinematic scenes effortlessly"; we read no page describing how it works. No Cinema Studio credit rate was among the pricing rows we read, so check the cost in the app before planning a project around it.
Can you use Higgsfield videos commercially?
You can use Higgsfield videos commercially on a paid plan. Terms section 4.4 says Higgsfield does not claim ownership of outputs or restrict their commercial use, and your rights in exported outputs survive cancellation and can pass to clients; Free has no commercial-use right. The same section lets Higgsfield train its models on your inputs and outputs unless you are on an Enterprise Agreement, and warns that outputs may not be unique across users. A freelancer uploading client product shots should weigh that first.
When does a Higgsfield plan stop being enough?
A Higgsfield plan stops being enough the moment a project needs premium models in volume. Starter does not include Veo 3.1, full Seedance 2.0 or Kling 3.0 at 1080p at all, according to the plan comparison table, and its 200 credits buy what Higgsfield itself puts at "~ 11 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos", or about 20 six-second Minimax Hailuo 2.3 clips at 1080p, before any re-roll. A ten-shot ad with three attempts per shot on Veo 3.1 needs about 1,200 credits, more than Plus carries in a month. A one-star reviewer on October 15, 2026 says "even with the plan that costs 70€ per month you can only generate 4-5 short videos", and another on October 16, 2026 had "only managed to generate TWO videos" before requests stalled.
The paid fix depends on the model. For Kling-class work, Plus at $39 a month billed annually covers about 125 five-second 1080p clips. For Veo or Seedance at 1080p, Ultra's 3,000 credits at $99 a month billed annually is the realistic floor, about 75 Veo 3.1 clips. Unlimited windows sit on an unguaranteed queue, so for a client deadline the dependable path is credits on a plan sized to the job.
What do real Higgsfield users report?
Higgsfield users praise ease of use and output, and complain about billing, refunds, slow generations and price. Of the 18 dated Trustpilot reports cited here, about five describe unexpected charges or cancellation trouble, about five refused refunds, three fast credit burn, two slow generations, and four are positive; some touch more than one theme. Twelve come from Trustpilot's one-star view, so the sample shows what the complaints are, not how common they are.
On speed, a reviewer on October 16, 2026 says requests were "stuck on 'Processing' for over FIVE HOURS", and one on October 5, 2026 writes "It got up to 30 minutes + for generations eventually". On the interface, a mixed review on October 13, 2026 finds some options "a little bit more complicated for a first-time user", and one on October 6, 2026 notes a "lack of full Portuguese language support".
On the positive side, a reviewer on October 17, 2026 calls it "Everything at your fingertips and easy to use", and one on October 10, 2026 writes "I have tried other platforms but the results were less than satisfactory." Even a fan on October 16, 2026 asks Higgsfield to "make these more affordable". We found no Reddit, G2 or Capterra discussion we could cite.
Where does Higgsfield's marketing disagree with its own terms?
Higgsfield's marketing and its terms disagree on unlimited use and on refunds. The pricing page's own description promises "unlimited access to powerful AI video tools", while Terms section 10.6 puts unlimited use on a queue with no speed guarantee, and the reports above describe paid plans yielding two to five short videos. The pricing FAQ says you "can cancel anytime in your account settings", which is accurate, but the 7-day, zero-credit, first-purchase-only refund rule sits in the Terms, not on the plan cards.
What has changed at Higgsfield in 2026?
Higgsfield's plans and terms changed during 2026, which is why third-party price quotes disagree:
- March 1, 2026: an experiment.com write-up quoted annual-billed prices only.
- Undated, newest embedded review June 6, 2026: hackceleration listed older plans, Basic $9, Pro $17.40, Ultimate $29.40 and Creator $119.
- July 26, 2026: Higgsfield's Terms of Use were last updated.
- September 15, 2026: ToolInsightPro quoted Starter at about $19, Plus at $47 to $59 and Ultra at $99 to $129 without naming the billing period.
- October 17, 2026: Higgsfield's page showed Starter $15, Plus $49 or $39 annual, Ultra $129 or $99 annual, and a Free column with 0 credits.
What are the best Higgsfield alternatives?
The best Higgsfield alternative is the model you actually use, bought direct. Kling AI starts at $6.99 a month, Runway at $12 a month billed annually, and Google Veo through Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month, per our reviews last updated September 9, 2026. Higgsfield earns its price when one project switches between several models. Our roundup of AI video generators ranks the field.
Higgsfield vs Kling AI: which costs less per clip?
Kling AI costs less if Kling is the only model you need: Standard is $6.99 a month against Higgsfield's $15 Starter, while a five-second 1080p Kling 3.0 clip on Higgsfield is about 8 credits, or $0.31 on Plus annual. See how Kling prices its credits for the direct numbers.
Higgsfield vs Runway: which suits filmmakers?
Runway suits editors who want control over existing footage; Higgsfield suits people sampling many generators. Runway starts at $12 a month billed annually and Gen-4.5 burns 25 credits a second, per our Runway review. Runway retired its Unlimited plan in 2025.
Higgsfield vs Krea AI and Freepik: which is better for images?
Krea AI and Freepik are image-first platforms that also sell video, while Higgsfield is video-first. Our Krea AI review found its video models gated behind Pro and no commercial licence on its free tier, and our Freepik review covers its move to the Magnific brand. For mostly images with occasional video, either is the closer fit.
Is Higgsfield worth it?
Higgsfield is worth it for creators who use several premium video models in the same month and price their work from the credit table, and not worth it for anyone who needs one model or an easy refund. We rate it 3.4 out of 5.
For a marketer producing weekly short-form video, Plus at $39 a month billed annually is the sensible plan: 1,000 credits, every model, about 125 Kling 3.0 clips or 25 Veo 3.1 clips a month. Pay monthly at $49 for the first month, because the refund window closes with your first credit. For a freelancer, quote from the per-clip table with re-rolls built in, never plan a deadline around unlimited windows, and read Terms section 4.4 before uploading client material. If you only want Kling or Veo, buy it direct.
How should you start with Higgsfield in the first week?
Start on the Free tier to learn the interface, then buy one month of the smallest plan that opens the model you need. Free has 0 credits, so it cannot produce a clip. Before paying, confirm on the plan card that your model is open on that tier. After paying, decide whether to keep the plan before your first generation, since one credit spent ends the 7-day refund right. Then run one low-cost clip, such as Kling 3.0 at 720p for about 7 credits, before generating at volume, and put the renewal date in your calendar.
How did we review Higgsfield?
Higgsfield was reviewed from the public record, not from a test of our own. No account was created, no clip was generated, and no figure here is our measurement; per-clip counts divide Higgsfield's published credit rates into its plan allowances.
Pricing, credit rates and unlimited rules come from higgsfield.ai/pricing, read October 17, 2026 on both the monthly and annual toggles in US dollars. Refund, withdrawal, cancellation, credit, watermark, ownership and training terms come from Higgsfield's Terms of Use (last updated July 26, 2026), read the same day. User experience comes from 18 dated Trustpilot reports from September 13 to October 17, 2026, each linked to the Trustpilot view where it appeared. Reddit, G2 and Capterra discussion was not retrieved. Prices were read from outside the United States on a page with no region selector, so your checkout figure can differ. Our review methodology sets the standard every review follows.
Does AI Tools Police earn a commission on Higgsfield?
AI Tools Police may earn a commission if you subscribe to Higgsfield through a link on this page, and that never changes a score, a figure, or whether a weakness is reported. We sell no video product. Our affiliate standards set out how commissions are kept apart from verdicts.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Higgsfield cost?
Higgsfield Starter is $15 a month on either billing toggle with 200 credits. Plus is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually, with 1,000 credits. Ultra is $129 a month, or $99 a month billed annually, with 3,000 credits. Business plans start at $65 per seat a month. These are US dollar prices shown on Higgsfield's pricing page on October 17, 2026, before VAT and local taxes.
Is Higgsfield AI free?
Higgsfield lists a Free tier with 0 monthly credits, 1 concurrent job and no commercial-use right. It lets you look around the platform; producing clips you can publish needs a paid plan, starting with Starter at $15 a month.
Can I get a refund from Higgsfield?
Only narrowly. Higgsfield's Terms of Use section 9.3 allows a refund request within 7 days of an initial purchase, provided no credits have been used. Renewals are excluded and a service fee of up to 6 percent may apply. Consumers in the EEA or UK have a 14-day withdrawal right under section 17.2, but it is lost for digital content once supply begins, and credits used are payable.
Is Higgsfield AI legit?
Higgsfield is a real company, Higgsfield, Inc., with published terms and a 4.0 TrustScore across 5,053 Trustpilot reviews as of October 17, 2026. The concern is billing: dated one-star reports from mid-October 2026 describe repeat charges, a charge during a cancellation attempt and refused refunds. Read the refund terms and set a renewal reminder before subscribing.
Is Higgsfield unlimited really unlimited?
Unlimited applies to named models for a set number of days, only on higgsfield.ai and not through MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer. Terms section 10.6 puts unlimited use on a separate queue under fair-use limits, with speed and parallel capacity not guaranteed. Trustpilot reviewers in October 2026 report generations slowing to 30 minutes or more, and requests stuck processing for over five hours.
How many videos can I make on Higgsfield Plus?
It depends on the model. Plus carries 1,000 credits a month. At Higgsfield's published rates that is about 125 five-second Kling 3.0 clips at 1080p, 25 four-second Google Veo 3.1 clips, or 16 five-second Seedance 2.0 clips at 1080p, before any re-generations.
Can I use Higgsfield videos commercially?
On a paid plan, yes. Higgsfield's Terms section 4.4 says the company does not claim ownership of outputs or restrict their commercial use, and your rights survive cancellation. Do Higgsfield credits roll over?
No. Subscription credits expire at the end of each credit cycle, and on annual plans they refresh every 30 days. Add-on credit packs last 90 days from purchase and are used after subscription credits. Unused credits expire when the account is cancelled.

Runway
Runway is the professional filmmaker's AI video toolkit: Gen-4.5 generation plus Act-One performance capture, Aleph video-to-video editing, and real camera control, the deepest creative suite in the category. The catch is credit economics: Gen-4.5 burns 25 credits per second, the free tier is 125 one-time credits (about one 5-second clip, no monthly reset), and nothing in Runway's terms promises credits back on a failed generation. Paid plans run $12–$76/mo on annual billing ($15–$95 month-to-month); the old Unlimited plan was retired in 2025. We rate it 4.0/5.
Pika
Pika is the fun one in AI video: the Pikaffects library (inflate, melt, explode, cake-ify) makes one-click stylized clips no rival matches at this price, and the $8/mo (annual) entry tier, now named Standard and formerly Basic, is the cheapest commercial entry in the class. But the free tier is image-to-video only at 480p, watermarked and non-commercial; no failure-refund policy is documented anywhere, and credits lost to bad takes drive a 1.7/5 Trustpilot score; clips are short; and realism trails Kling and Veo. We rate it 3.2/5.
OpenAI Sora
OpenAI Sora shut down its web app and iOS app on April 26, 2026, and the API goes dark September 24, 2026. It is no longer a tool you can sign up for. Before shutdown, Sora was bundled into ChatGPT: Plus ($20/mo) capped you at 20-second 720p clips on priority credits, while Pro ($200/mo) unlocked 1080p; Sora 2 added native audio, Cameos, and storyboard mode. If you need a working text-to-video tool today, Kling AI and Google Veo 3 are the closest replacements at comparable or lower prices. We rate it 3.4/5: a migration problem, not a purchase.
Kling AI
Kling AI is the strongest quality-per-dollar challenger in AI video. Kling 3.0 ranks #1 on the Artificial Analysis Arena image-to-video leaderboard, paid plans start at $6.99/mo, and the API publishes transparent per-second rates. The free tier is real (66 credits/day) but watermarks output, licenses you for personal use only, and serves the older Kling 2.1. Holding credits is not the same as holding a membership: 1080p, watermark removal, and fast-track stay member-gated. We rate it 3.7/5.
Hailuo AI
Hailuo AI is a low-cost AI video generator from MiniMax that ranks #1 on WorldModelBench for physics realism, at a reported ~$0.30 per clip, the cheapest tier-one option. The free tier (~3 clips/day at 768p) watermarks output and licenses personal use only; credits auto-refund only when a generation fails outright (a bad clip that renders still bills); the vendor's own subscription terms list Standard at $14.99/mo, above the widely promoted $9.99; there is no native 9:16; Trustpilot sits at 1.4/5 across 94 reviews; and the Singapore-contract/Shanghai-models structure leaves data jurisdiction for you to verify. We rate it 3.6/5.
Google Veo
Google Veo is the documented quality leader in AI video: top-tier realism plus native synchronized audio (dialogue, ambient sound, effects) generated in every pass, where Runway's clips come back silent and Kling treats audio as a costly add-on. The catches: every generation caps at 8 seconds, access is gated behind Google AI plan tiers (free Flow allowance of roughly 50 credits/day, Pro at $19.99/mo, Ultra at $249.99/mo), and per-clip API cost swings from roughly $0.40 (Lite) to $3.20–$4.80 (Standard) at Google's published rates. The API bills only successful generations. Superb for short cinematic shots; expensive at volume. We rate it 4.3/5.
